We have also conducted surveys for management and use requirements from all departments within a large pipeline company to assist Purchasing / Procurement in automating their processes for securing and evaluating needed services.

We have also provided retainer services in all aspects of data processing for small companies without sufficient data processing staff.

Criner-Daniels & Associates has provided Project Management support to a State of Texas agency in their technical support of 56 school districts, 52,000 teachers, 3,000 school administrators, and 760,000 students. Thirteen (13) school districts have moved to the client-server environment during an 18-month period. We are assisting another school district to move to the client-server environments as well. Our experiences have run the gambit from the installation of hardware and software at the campus level to the evaluation of a total District computer environment.

Our services include: the definition of the assumptions underlying the upgrade, replacement, performance, and life of the existing computer processor, planning and information gathering, capacity model construction, capacity model calibration, capacity forecasting, and the reporting of results and recommendations for local, state and federal governments, as well as the education, aerospace, and oil and gas industries.

We have provided design through installation support for LAN and WAN networks and the integration of them into an overall information system architecture. This support has been provided to school districts and private industries.

We undertook and completed a project related to the analysis, design, and development of a Mainframe-to-PC program to calculate the average cost of a commodity, evaluate current and future effects to this cost based on forecasted costs and volumes, and provide a model for forecasted costs and volumes, and a model for optimizing these costs based on test cases making use of varying costs and volumes. The project, which was completed in 1985 for a $12 Billion Houston-based oil and gas company, has been used continuously with dramatic increases in speed and accuracy over their previous system.

Another project related to the analysis, design, and development of an automated process for purchase requisitions, leading to the generation of a purchase order and the capture of archival information on commodities, pricing, vendors, receiving, and buyer information, was also completed.

Our team was also involved in the design, development, and maintenance of computer programs and systems for some Texas State agencies and major corporations that resulted in great flexibility and cost savings in both the mainframe and personal computer areas.

We have developed manuals to meet the training needs of various customers.

Our team also came up with various training-related programs, including the design and delivery of a complete curriculum for IMB's MVS / SP and MVS / XA Operating Systems for a Houston-based oil company. The seven-week curriculum has been delivered six times in the past two years with extremely high student evaluations.

A third project involved the design of a "substitute teacher" program aimed at delivering 219 days of data processing training utilizing customer-developed courseware and facilities.

We also designed, developed, and delivered a course to teach laboratory technicians how to process sample data into computerized reports available to management.  The documentation included a complete user manual for the customer-developed software program along with the course handout and instructor materials.

Our team also designed a training program for Human Resource professionals on planning and conducting effective meetings that resulted in savings in both time management and labor costs. It also led to increased efficiency in the proposal preparation process.
